This is how Alex and Laia descibre their day: “There was one thing we knew for sure, we wanted our wedding to have these three adjectives: simple, elegant and natural. We wanted it to be close to everyone and at the same time serious; to be fun and at the same time formal; to throw a big party, but elegant. And this conversation we had, this long list, became exactly what was our 1st of June.

We all know that organizing a wedding is a very big investment, and Àlex and Laia decided that this money should go to local companies, artisan details, and sustainable and biodegradable products.

Hidden in the Penedès, we find the rural house Mas Palou, a place that the bride and groom had known for a long time and that made them fall in love. They knew that they did not want to get married anywheere other than there, embraced by its trees, and surrounded by a sea of vineyards – which starred a long and romantic aperitif until the sunset -.

Alex and Laia continue: “We wanted the food to be fun without being pretentious. We wanted good dishes that reminded us of family parties and flavours that would take us home. And all this we achieved with Catering Sensacions: a mixture of product, elegance and quality. We chose the duck as a main dish and we still receive compliments as of today”.

Mas Palou has lived very few weddings but the ones that have taken place there have been full of magic. Their wedding was not any different. With the personalized lighting set up by the Suit & Music team, and the decoration that – in the hands of Flors Àmelia – brought colour and warmth to both the tables and the bride’s costume -, their own day ran smoothly, from beginning to end. But above all, the most important thing: they made it their own.

And of course… on such a special day, Terra, his beloved dog, had to be there.
